Engaging Student Interest Through Simulations

Steve Rome, Yorktown High School, Yorktown Heights, NY

Without real student engagement, effective teaching and learning are nearly impossible. Simulations that put students into somebody’s mind can do that. Simulations can be short or intermittent and teachers can easily learn to create and use them. This workshop shares lots of examples and presents simulations as a mindset for teaching rather than something in a box.
