This session explores instructional strategies and student practices from the interactive notebook that can build consistency across disciplines. Participants compare and contrast the purpose, structure, and strategies of student notebooks in social studies and science classrooms. This cross-disciplinary conversation challenges participants to explore the benefit of the notebook to capture growth and identify routine writing elements that are incorporated into both classrooms.
