Digital Maps for Visual Learning in the Social Sciences

This session showcases digital interactive maps from public media that support classroom instruction on a wide variety of topics, including Lewis and Clark, Western Expansion and Colonial Boston. After a brief demonstration and discussion of the value of digital maps, attendees explore resources on their own through guided practice and share successes and challenges. All resources showcased are available free on PBS LearingMedia, a co-production of PBS and WGBH.
