A CALL FOR HELP: HISTORY CROSSWORD PUZZLEMAKER HAS NEW WEB SITEAs a NCSS leader in your state, I could really use your help with the following problem. I am a retired high school history teacher. I taught in the Edmonds School District (Washington State) for 32 years.
As you may know, AOL has deleted all of their “Hometown” Web Sites. This has required me (and probably thousands of other people) to relocate their web sites. AOL left no way to tell people, especially teachers in this case, where my relocated web site is. This has caused a real nightmare for people like me.
Over the past 16 years I have corresponded with thousands of teachers (using AOL) about my 10 sets of History Crossword Puzzles and have done business with hundreds of them. They, and new interested teachers, currently have no way of finding my web site. Thanks to AOL, both teachers and I have been “left out to dry”. Being a one-person operation, I cannot just send a message, in a short period of time, to all the contacts I have established over all of these years.
This is where I could use your help. Over the years many of NCSS’s State Affiliates have published articles about my history puzzles. I have been very gratified by their interest and cooperation. Now, I am asking for your help to get the message out that my web site has changed locations. Please inform your officers and board members of this change. Also, a brief article in your newsletter announcing this change would be terrific. Many of your members will recognize information about these history puzzles and would appreciate hearing about this change.
The basic information is that my web site has changed:
