David McCullough will be a presenter at General Henry Knox Museum InstituteThe General Henry Knox Museum in Thomaston, Maine is excited to announce its third annual summer teacher institute. The program is open, free of charge, to all teachers of history and social studies. It is made possible by grants from the Sunshine Lady Foundation and the Institute for Museum and Library Services. This year’s program, The Cultural Quilt: Ethnic Influences on Early American History, will be divided into two one-week sessions: July 14 – 18, and July 21 – 25. Participants may sign up for one or both weeks. Pulitzer Prize-winning author David McCullough will be among the noted experts teaching the institute, and he will be presenting both weeks.
