Today, the Massachusetts Board of Elementary and Secondary Education unanimously voted to approve and adopt the 2018 revision of the Massachusetts History and Social Science Curriculum Framework.

Congratulations to Dave Buchanan, Sue Wheltle, Heather Peske, and to the entire History and Social Science curriculum framework review panel for their hard work and dedication to this effort.

What’s next?

Mass Council will be holding special ZOOM live conferences on Monday, July 2, at 9:30 a.m. and Monday, July 9, 2018., at 10 a.m. to discuss today’s vote on the revised History and Social Science curriculum framework and also what school districts are doing to roll out the alignment of the framework to your existing K-12 social studies curriculum and program of studies.

The ZOOM live conferences are an opportunity to social studies administrators and teachers to think about best strategies and approaches to incorporate the revised framework to your social studies curriculum.
