MCSS is seeking volunteers!

Massachusetts Council for the Social Studies (MCSS) is seeking members who are interested in taking an active role in our organization, gaining valuable professional experience of working in a non-profit educational organization, and building leadership experience in social studies education at the state level and national level. Volunteering and gaining experience in our events and activities can lead to leadership roles such as serving on the MCSS Executive Board and planning and coordinating our annual statewide conferences as well as the Northeast Regional Conference for the Social Studies (NERC), which occurs every few years.

MCSS has a number of events and activities in the works for 2022, including professional development conferences and summer content institutes, social events, and our annual Outstanding Social Studies Educators Awards ceremony.

MCSS will soon host the National Council for the Social Studies Annual Meeting and Conference in Boston, Massachusetts, in 2024 (at the John B. Hynes Veterans Memorial Convention Center in Back Bay), and we will be looking for volunteers to be local hosts.

Below is simply an interest form and filling out this form does not commit you to any committees, activities, or events. You will receive emails inviting you to any opportunities that may and will come up.
